About Me

Hello! My name is Brandon, better known as Auc. I'm a software developer and general technology enthusiest. When I was about 10 years old, my dad showed me a couple of DOS commands on his 286, and the rest, as they say, is history.

After earning an Electrical Engineering degree, I tended to focus more on the software side of the equation, though I really get a kick out of interfacing with hardware systems. I also like to dabble with Arduinos and Raspberry Pis, when I get the chance. With over 20 years of experience, I still can't wait to jump out of bed and throw down some mad lines of code on my geek box (about the toughest thing a geek can say).

I enjoy using Microsoft's products for development and Azure cloud for deployment. I like using Angular for front-end work (if it's the right choice for the project), but I'm not shy about using other products. Selecting the right tool for the job is key to software development, as well as life. If all you have is a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail, then life gets harder, and nobody likes that.

I was born, raised and reside in the New Orleans, LA area. I haven't found many other places that will have me, and I'm OK with that. I am the luckiest husband to the most loving wife, and the proudest father to the sweetest little girl in the world!
